"Rain, rain, go away..."  We arrived at Miller Park stage at 9:30 a.m.  The rain was coming down in buckets and the wind was blowing like crazy!  Our sound man, Kevin, told us we were on hold until we could safely set up.  By 10:30 we were rolling up the tarps and getting ready for the 11:00 show.  The skies cleared and everyone was ready to rock!  A few rain showers came and went throughout the afternoon, but that doesn't stop Wisconsinites from dancin' in the rain!

The Patio in St. Francis was rockin' last night!  We played for the Barborich wedding.  The groom, Joe, is a well-known Milwaukee musician and lead guitar player for Katz Sass.  The bride, Nancy, is an awesome singer from Jones Island Clambake.  So you get these two hitched and invite all their musical friends and family and you have a JAM SESSION!  We played the first hour and then turned the stage over to members of Jones Island Clambake, Katz Sass, Coupe Deville, and the Rockerfellers!  We did a few tunes in the last set and then our bride finished off the evening with "Take It Off".  Joe & Nancy were chosen as our "Six Pack Rockers" - be sure to see the "Rockers" page.  We were thrilled to hear all of the great talent and happy to see so many friends from other bands.  I told Joe he must have a yearly anniversary party because this was so much fun!  Check out the photo page for pictures of all the guest stars...

I have some sad news.  We lost a dear friend, Pam Powless, yesterday.  We met Pam and her husband, Roy, in "Barry's Truckers".  They are from Green Bay and were loyal fans of Barry for many years.  They both lit up a room and always danced the night away.  They traveled around the country with their hot rod and attended many Oldies conventions and car shows.  They always had cool stories to tell about their many adventures.  They followed the band up to Michigan one year with their hot rod and won first place in the car show!  On July 26, 2008, Pam & Roy came out to Purcell's Oneida Casino to see "Six Pack".  Before they left I took a nice picture of them and gave them each a hug.  Pam will always be one of my all-time favorite people.  We send our love to Roy and Pam's family.
*See the Photo page for pictures of Pam.

If you want to meet some of the nicest people EVER just go to Patrices in Saukville!  You will be greeted by the wonderful owners, Patrice and Marty.  Then you will be served by friendly bartenders and wait staff.  When you sit down the customer next to you will strike up a friendly conversation.  That's the way it is at Patrice's - everyone is there to enjoy eachother's company, have a bite to eat, and enjoy a beverage.  The atmosphere is comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful.  Wood, glass, greenery, and brass artwork are displayed throughout the building (Patrice calls it "the house").

Patrice's had 4 birthday parties going on this past Saturday and everyone was out to PARTY!  We set up in the dining room on a narrow stage, with Marty and his drumset in front of us.  It was an unusual set up but it worked.  They danced all night and we had a great time!  At the end of the night, Patrice gave us each a warm hug, thanked us for the party, and wished us a safe trip home.  Many thanks to Patrice and Marty for inviting us to entertain "The House".

We'll see you after Christmas on December 27 in Rubicon!

If you weren't at the "K" Ranch last night, you missed quite a party!  This was the place to be!  We had werewolves, nurses, pirates, pimps, Army men, patients, bees, the Jolly Green Giant, Little Red Riding Hood, and lots of witches (good and bad).  Paul Barry (Barry's Truckers) was there and entertained the crowd like usual!  He had the entire dance floor doing the "worm".  It was great to see Paul  and fun to play rock and roll with him again.  Scooter Luv (Mt. Olive) stopped in to drink some Tequila and make me laugh really hard like he always does!  We had a great crowd!  Thank you all for spending your Halloween rockin' with "Six Pack".

The website experienced "technical difficulties" last week, but we're back!  Thank you for being patient while I learned a whole lot about the internet, domain names, servers, and IP & DNS addresses.  Now I know EVERYTHING!   I had lots of help from the Bandzoogle staff and I appreciated their quick responses to my questions.
So, anywho -  the band had a photo shoot tonight.  We had so much fun!  Many thanks to our photographer, Tom, for putting up with our shenanigans.  Get the airbrush out and print 'em up!

We had a long, busy weekend!  We left early on Saturday to travel to Elizabeth Inn & Conference Center in Plover, WI for the wedding of Ashley and Josh.  We saw lots of our friends from all over the state.  The wedding was beautiful and the party was CRAZY!  They invited us to join them for dinner, which is always appreciated by hungry musicians!  They danced to every song and kept the party rockin' till midnight.  We didn't want the party to end, but we had to pack up and get on the road for our 3 hour drive home.  The rest of the wedding party and guests hit the bar across the street and some headed for the pool.  We want to thank Ashley, Josh and their parents for inviting SIX PACK to share their special day.

SIX PACK members got to bed at 4:00 a.m., slept a few hours, then drove to Wind Lake, WI for the Wind Lake Street Fair.  It was a perfect day for this event - sunny and gorgeous!  Many thanks to the Wind Lake Chamber of Commerce for organizing this event.  Also the Wind Lake Lions, Pirates, and Rangers who continue to keep their community strong. They are raising money for a band shell in the park.  We would LOVE to see that and  wish them well.  SIX PACK was hired for the spring event, so watch the schedule page for upcoming dates.

After the Wind Lake gig, Marty left for Germany and the rest of us headed home for the Packers game.  Tonight we catch up on sleep and go back to our REAL jobs tomorrow.  Be sure to check out the pictures from this weekend on the Photo page.  We all had a great time.  Thanks for partyin' with SIX PACK!

Get your costumes ready for the Halloween Bash at the "K" Ranch on October 25!

We played for a wedding last night in Caledonia, WI.  Gabrielle and Dan were recently married in Costa Rica.   They wanted to share a special night with their friends and family at their home.  They invited SIX PACK to share their special event.  Let me tell you about the atmosphere...  the backyard features a pool and a full volleyball court.  The pool had floating lights and the volleyball court was completely covered by a white tent.  Icicle lights lit up the perimeter of the tent.  Candles and seashells adorned the tables.  A large screen video showed highlights from their Costa Rican adventure.  A fully stocked bar was available to their guests, along with a deliciously catered meal.  SIX PACK set up on a slight hill alongside the tent.  Our backdrop was a steep hill leading down to a stream.  We moved Marty up the hill a bit to avoid an undesirable trip down the hill!  Jerry placed his saxes safely under a tree and we were ready to rock!  The dance floor was up a hill, under the tent, so (thanks to cordless mics and instruments) we made lots of trips up the hill to join our dancers under the tent.  We had some guest stars (Tammy & Justin from the Marine Corps band) and our bride and groom join us for a few tunes.  We had a lot of talent at this party!  The weather was absolutely perfect!  We rocked all night and even played an extra hour of music.  We were having too much fun!  We thank Gabrielle and Dan for inviting SIX PACK to share this experience.  They know how to throw a party!

Whew - we made it! SIX PACK played played 8 shows in the last 9 days! One day was a double-header, 3 shows were 5 hour gigs, and 6 of the shows were at Wisconsin State Fair. We experienced many adventures this past week including Charlie Daniels taking a break from his show to come and check us out! We said goodbye to our drummer, A.J. Knight, and welcomed Marty "The Party" Pierce back to the band. We had a bass guitar acccidentally go home with another band, but within minutes Joe had 3 bass guitars to choose from.  We had lots of surprise visitors - friends and relatives we haven't seen in quite a while stopped in to party with us. We made lots of new friends too! It means so much to us when people take the time to introduce themselves and offer a kind word about our show.

State Fair was awesome! We were always lucky to find great parking spots and friendly park staff. Working at Miller Lite Park was great! The entire staff would dance and sing along with us, while serving up ice cold Miller beer and Gator Tators! Our sound man, Kevin, was patient, accomodating and helpful. We looked forward to returning to the park each day and working with these outstanding people.

Thank you all for a great week! Now it's time for SIX PACK members to take an Ibuprofin, get some sleep, and go back to our REAL jobs tomorrow!
